My office now has three daily calendars - one that I received for Boss' Day, and two others for Christmas: a George Carlin Daily Quote calendar, a Sports Illustrated "They Said It" calendar, and a "Musical History Note of the Day" calendar. For a brief moment I considered re-gifting, but then decided I wanted to keep all three. If nothing else, every now and then they will provide fodder for a quick note on the blog.
Which brings us to today's quick note, which is that 35 years ago today, Kiss signed its first record contract. Truly, a momentous moment in the history of rock music.
