Moonlight Graham

I'm sitting here watching the (beloved) Giants play the (hated) Dodgers, and Jon Miller just came out with tonight's piece of trivia:

On this date in 1905, Archibald "Moonlight" Graham made his only appearance for the New York Giants.

That may mean nothing to many of you, but for some it will mean quite a great deal.

You'll understand why this Angeleno sees last night's 4-2 victory a little differently ;-). Thanks, Jeff.

I think the Dodgers must be paying Pablo Sandoval under the table - I haven't seen base path butchering like that since little league!

Yeah, not the finest of hours. But, I'm sure the Dodgers will have a call go against soon (it's just karma in this long heated rivalry).

I don't know if you read him, but author Gregg Hurwitz is a long time S.F. Giants fan (we could back and forth on the rivalry from time to time). Very cool guy and thriller writer (he also writes the Moon Knight series for Marvel Comics--a fav of my teen son).

Thanks, Jeff.

Should read: "we go back and forth on the rivalry from time to time".

Sheesh! Typing too fast for brain...
