This was taken at my mom's house on the night of December 8, at my parents' annual "Christmas Kickoff" dinner. Over the years it's become a tradition that people look forward to just as much as Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, probably because it's held early during the season - before people have started to suffer from holiday stress.This picture probably comes closest to doing justice to my mom's holiday decorations as any I've seen. It must have been taken by my wife, because I certainly don't remember taking it.
