I hate to jinx them with the matches still going on, but today we may be seeing the birth of two new charismatic stars, something that professional golf desperately needs. Anthony Kim is just tearing up the course and shredding Sergio Garcia in the process, while Ian Poulter is well on his way to becoming the hero or villain of this Ryder Cup, depending on your point of view. Neither Kim nor Poulter seems interested in making this a friendly match with pals - Kim is conceding Garcia nothing on the greens, and Poulter's eyes have probably drilled holes into half the American crowd by now.
Great stuff. The U.S. is off to a great start, but there's a lot of golf to be played, as they say.
