One of my favorite Hoppers. AA sponsored the Hopper exhibit over here four years ago. Izzy enjoyed it, too. Her observation on this particular piece, "the dog in this picture is the only happy character in any Hopper painting". Perfect!
I like Hopper a lot, too. I think my favorite one is actually Cape Cod Morning. Maybe not quite as dark as most and I love the ambiguity. Don't know if that one was at the display you saw, but it was here in London at the exhibit I mentioned.

Yeah, that's the actual painting - it's at the National Gallery of Art, where I spent some time on Sunday.
The one you posted is Cape Cod Afternoon, the one I love is Cape Cod Morning. Shows a woman looking out a window.
